
Painter and engraver, Pierre Alechinsky (1927) lives and works in France since 1951.
From 1948 till 1951 he becomes a member of the Cobra movement created by common desire of artists, painters and poets to free the artistic activity after the years of war.
His engraving is one of the most important of the late half-century.
For more than 50 years numerous recurrent exhibitions in France and abroad have shown artworks of this great artist of the second part of the 20th century.
